Online Shopping with Biometric Authentication in Way4 Mobile Banking App

We have improved e-commerce payment experience for users of Way4 Mobile Banking app. Now they can complete online checkouts much faster, due to our biometrics-based Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). Financial institutions may find this new feature cost-saving, as it relies on push notifications instead of expensive SMS messages.

Users can configure their mobile app to use biometrics data for authentication. For each 3-D Secure e-commerce payment, the app sends a push notification with the transaction details. Using fingerprint or face scanning, users can quickly confirm the payment.

This option is more convenient than receiving a one-time password via SMS and typing it on the online checkout page. Biometrics-based SCA also provides a higher security level, as it checks both the physical possession of the device and the mobile banking authentication data.
