OpenWay joins the France Payments Forum

We are happy to announce that OpenWay has become a member of the France Payments Forum, an active non-profit association which unites about 50 member companies, including OpenWay partners Oracle and Worldline.

France Payments Forum members are major players in the European payments industry – expert payment consultants, digital service companies, fintechs, banks and credit institutions. Several working groups enable members to submit monthly reports where they present useful findings and research relevant to the payments industry. The organization aims not only to facilitate the sharing of best practices among members but also to contribute to ideas on the evolution of payment tools and systems in both France and in Europe. It also strives to facilitate the success of a new European payment system together with major payment players in the industry. France Payments Forum also conveys messages from European authorities and interpret regulation and the newest technologies in a consistent, homogeneous, and practical manner.

OpenWay is looking forward to participating in France Payments Forum Annual Meeting, the flagship event of the organization. The event is attended annually by around 200 payments professionals and features about 30 experts leading debates and round tables. Among the topics are digital finance, building a Europe of digital payments, as well as initiatives and opportunities brought by new players in the European payments system.

Jean-Philippe Wolyniec, Regional Sales Manager, OpenWay France comments: “Financial institutions in France are at a time when they are increasingly subject to regulatory constraints as well as new expectations from end-users and increased competition from new entrants, who offer increasingly flexible services. Financial institutions need to adapt. And this is where FPF and OpenWay intervene to support banks in openness and innovation.”
