Senior Consultant
OpenWay is scaling up activities in Bulgaria and our Delivery team is looking for new colleagues to join us.
In the Delivery department, you will be a member of the Implementation team. As the Senior Consultant you will be responsible for a group of technical staff based in Bulgaria. You will be in charge of business analysis, various aspects of client relationship, project mangement and consulting clients within the banking and financial services industry.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for a group of staff based in Bulgaria
Provide consultancy to clients using your business and product knowledge within the payment services domain
Perform business analysis and solution design based on our clients’ business needs
Create and validate project estimates for clients’ business requirements
Manage from small- to large-size projects either independently or while reporting to a Program Manager
Perform the role of Support Service Manager (optional)
Participate in implementation projects for configuring client requirements of varied complexities
Requirements
A degree in Computer Science or related field, preferably 2.1 or over 6.5/10. MSc will be considered an advantage
Minimum 6-year hands-on technical (delivery or consulting) experience in banking, payments, and financial services industry
Minimum 2-year experience in leading technical teams
Minimum 2-year experience in project management
Experience in the Way4 product suite will be considered an advantage
Experience in any market-leading CMS & Switching system is desired
Strong knowledge in PL/SQL (code writing, debugging) and database programming (Oracle is preferred)
Strong business knowledge of international payment schemes is required
Knowledge of software lifecycle, design, development, and QA
Technical understanding of Unix-like systems and networks
Java or C/C++ knowledge will be an advantage
Strong knowledge of key Oracle database concepts including architecture awareness
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate business and technical ideas clearly, efficiently and convincingly
Willingness to travel outside of home country to conduct business
