OpenWay and Eracom Technologies bolster WAY4 EMV Card Issuing solution with turnkey transaction encryption
Integration of the WAY4 EMV Card Issuing solution, developed by OpenWay, and Eracom Technologies’ ProtectServer Orange External transaction encryption module allows banks and processors to get the most from chip card issuance

WAY4 announced today the integration of the WAY4 EMV Card Issuing Solution with the Eracom Technologies ProtectServer Orange-External hardware security module (HSM). Now, an organization can integrate a pre-tested EMV solution that delivers FIPS 140 Level 3 certified cryptographic transaction security.
Previously, card issuers had to select components from individual suppliers and then face the complexity of integrating these various technologies together. The successful integration and testing of the WAY4 EMV Card Issuing Solution and the ProtectServer Orange-External HSM means that a single solution is available to provide a complete EMV card issuing capability. Delivered pre-integrated and tested, this will dramatically reduce the costs, complexity, final deployment and testing time within an EMV project.
WAY4 EMV Card Issuing is a comprehensive solution developed to manage and streamline data preparation and electronic personalization of magnetic and EMV cards. Depending on the issuing volume and personalization type (in-house or outsourcing), the WAY4 EMV Card Issuing solution can support data preparation, PIN generation, PIN envelope printing, electronic chip personalization, workflow management and other functionality. By supporting major payment card types and personalization hardware, WAY4 EMV Card Issuing can enable a wide range of financial and multi-application solutions.
ProtectServer Orange-External is an intelligent Hardware Security Module designed to allow flexible and cost-effective deployment of hardware based encryption via a TCP/IP network connection.
